We are seeking a Director for The Headgate, a vibrant community theatre in Colchester which provides and manages a building for the purposes of promoting the performing arts and education in the community. The Director will be the key figurehead for the Headgate.
You will lead the development and implementation of the strategic and artistic vision for the Headgate and oversee the smooth operational running of the theatre. You will need excellent communication skills, project management experience and IT skills.
You will be responsible to the Trustees (Theatre Arts Action Trust) and supported by a part-time Business Administrator and Headgate Assistant, as well as the many multi-talented Headgate volunteers.

This is a part-time post – 28 hours a week based on a 40-hour week, i.e. 0.7 full-time equivalent. The salary will be between £34,000 – £36,000 pro rata per annum, depending on experience.
