GHOSTS
Like many of Ibsen’s plays, GHOSTS is a scathing commentary on 19th Century morality. Due to the subject matter which includes religious hypocrisy, venereal disease & euthanasia, the play immediately generated strong controversy & criticism. It is now regarded as one of the greatest plays of the 19th Century and historically holds a place of immense importance in the development of modern drama.

We will be performing Richard’s Eyre’s 2014 adaption which was presented to great acclaim at the Almeida Theatre starring Lesley Manville and subsequently in the West End.
