A Monster Calls – The Play – Young people’s workshops

Headgate Young Company will be performing A Monster Calls, based on the novel by Patrick Ness on the w/c 30th of June 2024.

Two workshops are being held on Saturday 6th January for any person in Year 7 – Year 11 wishing to be considered for the parts of Connor, Sully, Harry, Lily or Anton. (The playing age is 13/14 but the actual age may be older.)

The workshops will be held at The Headgate Theatre at 1 pm and 3 pm Each workshop will last approximately 1.5 hours and is free to attend. The session will involve movement, so suitable clothing and shoes should be worn.  Workshop places must be booked online in advance.

We will not accept applications from those below Year 7.  The maximum age for participation in the production is 21 at the end of September 2024.

Some participants from this workshop may be invited to the general audition during February.
We reserve the right to cast outside the age parameters if we cannot fill the roles at the February audition stage.
