There was another great turnout for the auditions at the end of November, and yet again the standard was very high. We are welcoming back some experienced players as well as people new to Headgate Theatre Productions for what is sure to be a riotous romp!
Tartuffe (The Imposter or Hypocrite) is a timeless comedy classic by French playwright, Moliere. It was first performed in 1664 and there have been numerous productions and adaptations since. Director Heather Davis has chosen the Roger McGough version of Tartuffe as his ‘Scouse’ wit and rhythmical verse trips off the tongue in a fun engaging way and the language is very accessible to all.
We are delighted to be able to announce the cast and the first read through will take place before Christmas, with rehearsals starting in January.
