We’d like to let our audiences know about two important changes to the way tickets can be purchased at the Headgate Theatre.
From TicketSource
Until recently, customers were able to pay for tickets by credit or debit card over the phone. However, recent changes in UK law and updated Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) mean that our telephone Box Office provider, Ticket Source, is no longer permitted to take card details verbally over the telephone.
You can still call our Telephone Box Office on 0333 666 3366 as usual. Instead of taking payment details directly, a member of the Ticket Source team will send you a secure payment link via email or SMS to your smartphone or device, allowing you to complete the purchase safely yourself. The Box Office team will be happy to remain on the call and guide you through the process if needed.
We understand that this may be frustrating. Unfortunately, this change is outside of our control and we are required to comply with the updated regulations.
In-person ticket sales
Tickets can still be purchased online via our website or by calling the Telephone Box Office (using the secure payment link process). For those who do not have access to email or a smartphone, we will continue to offer in-person bookings at the theatre on the night of a performance.
Reluctantly, we have taken the decision to discontinue in-person ticket sales at the theatre on Monday mornings. While this arrangement has been helpful in the short term, it is not a sustainable long-term practice for our theatre.
If you have any feedback regarding our services, please feel free to contact me at info@headgatetheatre.co.uk
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of the Headgate Theatre.
