The Actor's Toolkit: Improvisation

Friday 2nd, Easter Monday 5th and Friday 9th April from 6 - 7.30pm

Sessions via Zoom for 16 to 25 year olds

Come and have the best kind of fun - learning and practicing the fundamental skill of improvisation! It’s arguably the number one skill in the actor's toolkit that needs to be constantly worked on to help you remain creative and keep calm under pressure!

Want to nail an audition? Improvisation. Want to smash a scene? Improvisation. Want to get the most fun out of your craft? Improvisation. Learn about long and short form improvisation, the golden rules for successful improvisation, it’s application and WHY improving your improvisation skills will improve all skills theatre.

Richard Bland (Acting Graduate, Guildford School of Acting 2016) was taught improvisation by several members of the Olivier Award winning Showstoppers: The Improvised Musical and has applied its principles to professional performances with local theatre company Protocol Theatre and across the country for 4 years.

Sessions are restricted to those aged 16 to 25 years at the first session.

Cost: £12 for all three workshops
